Making biscuits make a difference

Making biscuits make a difference

I really want Eat Play Bark to make delicious dog biscuits but i also want the business to make a positive difference to our community.

Idea 1:

One way for Eat Play Bark to do this is to ensure the business is environmentally friendly.  We’ve all seen the recent news about the volume of plastic waste in our oceans and pictures of animals trapped by this waste, it’s horrible. I don’t want Eat Play Bark to contribute to this problem so I have been trying to find plastic free packaging for the biscuits.

If you would like to help clean up our shores then i can recommend the @2minutebeachclean initiative or if you don’t live by the coast then perhaps you can support the @finalstrawcornwall campaign to ban the use of plastic straws.

Idea 2:

Another way I think Eat Play Bark can help is to reduce the volume of dog waste left in and around our towns. I have spent a lot of time talking to non-dog-owners and found the main complaint is dog waste. I must agree with them too. It is absolutely horrible to find dog waste littering our streets, paths and beaches. I’d like to contribute a percentage of our profits to reduce the volume of waste in our town.

If you would like to tackle this issue in your area then try reading about The Big Scoop and the work they are doing.

I’d love to hear any ideas you have to make a difference in the community. Feel free to comment on this post or get in touch with your ideas.
