We are over the moon with our first biscuit review from Cornwall Creatives.
This all began with a chance meeting on Instagram between two dog lovers. Cornwall Creatives, otherwise known as Kerrie, regularly posts beautiful pictures & reviews on Instagram (i’d recommend a follow) of creative businesses, special places to visit in Cornwall and of our dog biscuits! 🙂
I sent little Albert (Kerrie’s boarder terrier) some samples of our peanut butter biscuits and hey-presto he loved them. Kerrie was keen to give him healthy treats but he has been known to turn down treats in the past. Thankfully Albert loved the Eat Play Bark biscuits and even cleaned up all the crumbs left on the floor so Kerrie wrote a review of the biscuits on her site.
It’s a real boost to our confidence and we can’t wait to launch the business so that more dogs will have healthy tasty treats to enjoy.
We’ve been beavering away over Christmas and New Year on our launch plans. One area we’re very excited about is the support we’ve been getting from Outset Cornwall. They offer a friendly and supportive service to budding entrepreneurs that want to start their own business. I’ve been on a number of training courses with Outset and in December I applied for a business grant to help me start Eat Play Bark.
The grant is key to us starting the business so we’re very nervous about it. Please keep your fingers crossed for us!
Pop-up and pop-over
We are thrilled to tell you about our pop-up news! During the Christmas break we found out that Cornwall Council was offering a series of pop-up sites across Cornwall. Two of the sites were based in Looe and we have applied for one of them! Eeek! It’s the perfect location for us; it’s right by the dog friendly beaches of Hannafore and just around the corner from our home. It’ll make the most wonderful place to go to work, don’t you agree?
The result of the tender process should be complete in mid-February and then we’ll know if we’ve been successful or not.
